Notable:

One of the top quarterbacks in the South. Had an outstanding workout
at the Countdown to Signing Day combine in Suwanee, Ga.

Davis is the #1 rated QB in the state of Tennessee and will graduate in
December. As a senior he hurt a his shoulder and missed four games in
the middle of the season. On the year only played in 34 quarters, threw
for 1,600 yards and 16 touchdowns. He plans to enroll at VT in January.
Measured long toss at U.K camp this summer of 76 yards. Also listed as
a punter and placekicker. Kicked a 52 yard field goal last year. Chose
the Hokies over Kentucky and Mississippi State. Committed 8/13/99.
