Tech Talk Live Notes for 11/09/09

There were a lot of good guests on Monday night's Tech Talk Live. Besides the usual segments from Jim Weaver and Frank Beamer, Bill Roth was also joined by former Tech receiver Antonio Freeman and current players Michael Via and Davon Morgan. Offensive coordinator Bryan Stinespring rounded out the football part of the show. Seth Greenberg also joined the show for a segment to discuss his team, which begins play this Sunday.

Jim Weaver and equipment manager Lester Karlin were guests on Tech Talk Live for the first hour. The player guests were offensive tackle Ed Wang and defensive end Jason Worilds. Frank Beamer finished off the show by talking about what happened in the UNC game, and looking ahead to East Carolina.

The second hour featured current players Sergio Render and Dorian Porch, and former linebacker George DelRicco also joined the show for a quick update. As usual, Frank Beamer closed out the show. Discussion included the big win over BC, and what the Hokies can expect from Georgia Tech.

Head trainer Mike Goforth shared some stories from the training room, while Bryan Stinespring talked about the offense. Placekicker Matt Waldron and tailback Josh Oglesby were the player guests, and former defensive tackle Chad Beasley joined Bill Roth on the set for one segment. Frank Beamer ended the show by talking about the upcoming game with Boston College.

The guests for the premier edition of Tech Talk Live were offensive coordinator Bryan Stinespring, athletic director Jim Weaver, football players Greg Boone and Kam Chancellor, Hokie great and NFL Hall of Famer Bruce Smith, and head football coach Frank Beamer. And yes, we're still keeping track of how many days Virginia Tech has been in possession of the Commonwealth Cup. (Guess what? It's a lot.)
