Plenty to Like About this Team January 29, 2010 Virginia Tech won at Virginia on Thursday night, which wasn't a big surprise. How they won it wasn't a surprise either. How much they overcame to win the game is somewhat of a surprise. Then again, with this group, we probably shouldn't be surprised at anything they do from here on out. more

Paul Debnam is the Reason You Play NC Central January 19, 2010 It was the most popular question just before Monday night's laugher against North Carolina-Central: "Why are we playing this team?" The answer is simple: Paul Debnam. Sure, Terrell Bell had a nasty fast break dunk, and Erick Green shocked the masses with a one-step, left-handed throwdown dunk over a 6-8 defender, but the real highlight of the night was the Paul Debnam show. The senior walk-on scored five points on a three-pointer and a dunk, but Paul's stat sheet contributions tell less than half the story of what he brings. more

Basketball Game Preview: Virginia Tech at #25 Florida State January 15, 2010 Presented by Kent Square Condominiums: Virginia Tech certainly didn't begin ACC play in easy style. On Saturday, the Hokies will play their third ranked opponent in a six-day span, and their second on the road. VT is now 13-2 overall, with a 1-1 mark in the ACC. Miami is 15-2, and they have a 1-2 record in conference play. more
