Subject: Re: RPI??????????

I think the RPI says it all. Sure, it is usually used to determine
whether a team is getting in the NCAA tournament, but it gives us an
“unbiased” evaluator to where the program is compared to other
programs in the country. In G-Hokie’s post on 12/11/09, it says “the
trend of Tech’s RPI during the BD era has been 29, 23, 65, 98, 166”
and is at 111 for this year.

Compare this to what Brenda Frese has had at Maryland she is in her
8th year at Maryland and the RPI’s from the last seven years are 41,
13, 8, 6, 5, 2, and now at 55 for this year (I couldn’t find her first
year RPI).

I look forward to the days when the Hokies RPI is back in the top 50
again and I dream about us having an RPI like Maryland has had.
