Subject: Actually it should be used MORE in softball...

it's tough IMO for the defense to make a play at the plate in softball with
the 60 ft base paths.

Runs are hard to come by...that's why I think VT Coach Thomas
doesn't understand the fundamentals at the highest level of the women's
softball game. When you get baserunners on, you've GOT to put the
ball in play to put pressure on the defense...eventually they'll crack and
make a mistake for you to score.
