Subject: ACC Tiebreakers

The Hokies still have a chance to earn the #1 seed in the ACC tournament. Here are the tiebreaker scenarios if Virginia Tech defeats Clemson on Sunday.

If there is a 4-way tie between VT, UNC, UVA and BC, then VT will earn the #1 seed.

If there is a 3-way tie between VT, UVA and UNC, then VT will earn the #1 seed.

If there is a 3-way tie between VT, UVA and BC, then BC will earn the #1 seed.

If there is a 2-way tie between VT and UVA, then VT will earn the #1 seed.

So if the Hokies defeat the Tigers on Sunday, they'll own three of the four tiebreaker possibilities. If Tech loses, there is no way they can get the #1 seed. If Boston College loses at Georgia Tech (3pm on Sunday), the Hokies will lock up the #1 seed assuming they beat Clemson at 1pm.
