Here's some bits that stuck out to me:
"Sometimes you have to spend money to make money." - They did thier due diligence and determined the increase in payout was worth the increase in costs.
"The average roundtrip flight to the nine cities in the Big 12 last year was 850 miles. That will increase to 1,020 miles in the SEC." - 170 miles is fairly insignificant when flying. Time wise there isn't much to complain about, as the athletes won't be missing more classes due to having to fly farther away. The real issue is that they are going to have to fly more, which is more costly. And again, this will be offset by the increased revenue.
