...it's an OPED piece: if it is really true that Notre Dame really draws more northeastern viewers than Penn State + Rutgers, or "Without the subway alums, the ND national TV fan base is not among the 25 largest in the country," then why not provide some proof? Surely this data is not outside of the realm of investigation for a journalist. I have no idea who Jacob Schoor is, or why anything he says should be given any weight at all. None of the article includes a quote, a single bit of nielsen data; nothing. I wouldn't give this article any more credibility than anything you can read on any message board today; which is none at all.
