Umm, the argument is that Notre Dame will add money as a partial member plus 6 football games. Want facts and evidence? ESPN would get at least 3 of those games (road games), hence the payout per school would increase with the TV revenue. That's not a gut feeling--that's, umm, mathematical certainty.
