All have had or still have exceptional FB programs.

Strawman argument. Not going to happen and you know it and for the reasons that have been discussed many times on this board.

Stability comes from the reality that all teams in the conference receive equal shares regardless of whether one sport is dominant over another.

I think that it's the BE that you're talking about. The ACC has already cherry picked the best fotball teams from that conference and plucked a few exceptional BB trams as well.

No we are negotiating with them, because we are both looking for a way to help one another.

ND needs a conference to ensure a play-in for all the marbles. The ACC needs to add a quality team to help our revenue stream and enhance our image. Academics is a big player in this equation as well.

The ACC has 4 colleges that are private and have high academic standards, which ND embraces. The ACC also has one of their historic rivalries in BC.

ND will never go to the B12, because UT runs that show.

I see no reason why ND can't play 8 conference games and 4 of their historic rivalries...USC, Michigan, Navy and, well, it's BC. Maybe I missed one, so maybe there is only 3 OOC that they really want to keep, unless Purdue is in the Mix.

And maybe the ACC invites Navy as part of the deal.

In any case, I don't see ND with any leverage. My sources tell me that we have had informal discussions with them since VT came into the ACC.

If they want to join the ACC, they need to be in it all the way, and I think there are ways to iron out any issues in that context.
Well put...I agree wit you across the board on this!
