It was Erickson who gave Sandusky full access, not Paterno. And evidence that an email in the Freeh report may have been altered. Tom Corbett, Officials at the Second Mile, the police, attorneys and judges let Sandusky walk free in 1998 and now they wanted the BOT to finally, after the fact, vote and give their approval to the NCAA sanctions tomorrow. That is not going to happen. Paterno, Spanier, Schultz, Curley, and McQueary were never interviewed and look at the history of Freeh and Corbett. Strange how the investigation stopped at the dead guy. It isn't so simple.

And ALL of this was happening with his friend of 20+years (?) RIGHT in the middle of ALL of it, reports surfacing at least twice, and Paterno was oblivious?!?...Really?!?

IF Paterno was scapegoated, it is only because HE and HE ALONE had the ultimate power to demand a full investigation, or at LEAST bar his pedophile friend from campus....he did neither! There is some pretty convincing e-mail evidence that he even wanted it dealt with as quietly and quickly as possible (and people can individually choose whether to believe that evidence). Criminally, he did nothing wrong....morally, as a MAN????...we'll have to agree to disagree!!
