for some reason soccer never picked up the scoreboard clock + timekeeper method of tracking time played.
nor has it taken advantage of modern technology to have the ref's stopwatch tied into a clock on the scoreboard...
As the announcer says in high school at 2 minutes (soccer counts down in high school), "The scoreboard clock will be turned off and official time kept on the field." Does anyone know that college football time is actually officially kept by an official on the field?
