What if Notre Dame gets stuck with a draw like: NC State, UVa, GT, Duke, MD, BC, UNC, Miami, and a ninth team that is not Clemson or FSU? That's essentially VT's 2014-2015 schedule. That means two of the three OOC opponents have to be national caliber for a decent schedule by ND standards.
If they got stuck with that 3 of their games are against old rivals (GT, Miami, and BC) State and VUA are not terrible and are better than purdue and pitt though not as old of a rival for them. They are also better than BYU which isn't a huge game for the Irish. but they would have 5 decent games from the ACC on that one and then add their ooc games which could all be big time.
