If they're PSU students then they can go on and get a great degree w/o ever playing FB again. Or they can play for 4 years in front of 100k+ fans every week and still be a god on campus at PSU, everything but win a conf title or play in a bowl. Yeah, there's a punishment that just doesn't think at all about the kids in the program. <tic>

This isn't the NFL where players get traded, sign new deals, etc. Almost everyone of those players has a relationship with PSU like you or I has a relationship with VT. I know we often scoff at the idea of the student athlete at a big time football school and mock the hypocracy that the NCAA preaches, but these kids often build a bond with their university.

Pretend halfway through your college career you got offered a scholarship to attend any school in the US. Would you want to leave VT? Maybe some would, but I wouldn't. To say the players aren't getting screwed in this because they can transfer is completely assinine IMO.
