Thanks for your input about Heiz Field. Joe Robbie Stadium is pretty far from UM's campus in CG...it's practically in Broward County. Guessing it will take 45 minutes (minimum) to drive from UM to the stadium.
Honestly, I have mixed feelings about moving. I was a freshman at Pitt in 1982 when we joined the Big East, so I have some great memories. On the other hand, the Big East was a house divided. The attempt to elevate Villanova playing in a 20k stadium showed me the chasm between the two factions was too much to bridge. I am excited to resume our rivalries with VT and Miami and look forward to playing the rest of the ACC. Long term, the move to the ACC is the best thing that could happen to Pitt. I'm glad we will join in less than a year. I am planning to come to Blacksburg for next years game.
