Asking for help is a step in the right direction

I would check to see if it works but somehow in the fall the router’s power supply cord snapped off … it almost looks like it was cut. Maybe it was cut by some of the remaining tape when it fell. It was working earlier this morning so it was Ok until then. Anyway, now I need just the power supply for the router, and of course my DSL provider doesn’t sell just parts (I’d have to get a whole new unit, have them make a service trip, install it, etc.). What are the chances Radio Shack would have a power supply for this? And does anyone know how different power supplies are if they are made by different companies? This one says it is an Actiontec 12V-1A, 100-200 V – 60 Hz 0.3A. When I search online, nothing matches exactly (even Actiontec is vague) and Google keeps wanting me to search for a 100-240v adapter. Lots of engineers on this board ... a little help, pls? TIA.
