When our players and assistants couldn't get out the door fast enough, I'm not sure what would make anyone think a basketball player would be interested in coming to join that same program. Which brings me to ...

3) We hired an absolute no-namer. The damage done to the program could've been limited had we been able to hire a big-name coach whose reputation would be enough to cancel out the negative energy surrounding the program. Didn't happen.... didn't even come close.

I hope I am wrong, I really do, but I believe it will take several years for JJ to even get us back to being competitive.... much less an NCAA appearance (sadly, not expecting to see one of those anytime soon). And given that he has no record to run on, wouldn't entirely surprise me if it takes another new coach before things can be turned around for the better.
My heart hopes you are wrong, but my head tells me your prediction is, at a minimum, realistic. Weaver has deliberately driven a stake through both basketball programs. His only objectives in hiring JJ are to spend as little as possible and kick the can down the road past his retirement into the hands of his replacement and the next administration. When that man retires, there will be no post from me gushing with praise about his "accomplishments".
