I think that dumping BC and Wake from the ACC, and proceeding with the addition of Syracuse and Pitt, would result in TV payouts for the ACC that are similar to the B12 - negating all talk of FSU or Clemson leaving for the B12. Right now, 1/7 of our revenue will go to schools with little value, and in the case of BC, schools miles from anywhere that have no traveling fans.

Wake is a legacy dingleberry that will never be wiped away. BC is a new addition that had no earthly business in the ACC discussion if not for Miami's idiocy. That's where we are, and that's where we'll stay I expect.
Talk like this is exactly why Miami wanted BC so badly. With BC, Wake, Duke, & Miami there were enough small school votes to prevent the bigger schools from having a 3/4 majority. Now we have Pitt, public and Syracuse, private to maintain that critical balance. Since it takes 3/4 to expand you can bet any future moves will also have a small private school involved. It's one way for those schools to protect themselves.
