It's sad but true that the solution to the ACC's money problems is so easy...

Dump BC and Wake. I doubt the TV contract would lose any value at all. Dropping Duke and Wake, and adding Syracuse and Pitt, would leave the ACC at 12 schools. Syracuse and Pitt would seem to be more valuable in football, and much more valuable in basketball.
I think that dumping BC and Wake from the ACC, and proceeding with the addition of Syracuse and Pitt, would result in TV payouts for the ACC that are similar to the B12 - negating all talk of FSU or Clemson leaving for the B12. Right now, 1/7 of our revenue will go to schools with little value, and in the case of BC, schools miles from anywhere that have no traveling fans.
Wake is a legacy dingleberry that will never be wiped away. BC is a new addition that had no earthly business in the ACC discussion if not for Miami's idiocy. That's where we are, and that's where we'll stay I expect.
