The fact that he can beat super villains with a collection of crap that I have laying around the house qualifies him as a superhero. Heck, he might even be *MORE* of a superhero than guys who have all sort of magical powers. He simply out badasses the guys he faces.

So in conclusion, I buy about 1/2 of your argument.
My point was that Batman doesn't have any extraordinary abilities. He can't fly. He doesn't have super strength. He can't climb a wall like Spidey, he can't run really fast. He's just very skilled at hand to hand fighting and martial arts. He's no more a superhero than Jackie Chan or Anderson Silva.
