I think the Mac still needs a 14th. Maybe they add JMU or Delaware.
In an ideal world they boot Eastern Michigan out, and pick up both. EMU averages way less than 10K fans, considerably less than any other MAC teams. EMU is located in the Detroit area, which is rapidly disappearing as a major metro area. Recently, there was a journalist who golfed 2000+ swings THRU town from the west to the east only playing through abandoned land. And there was also recently a proposal to wall off a big part of the abandoned areas and hold zombie games there as a weird tourist draw. That may have been tongue in cheek, but being from the Detroit area doesn't count for much demographically anymore.
With ODU going D-IA, I would not be thrilled to have more D-IA recruiting competition in JMU. Sure, they would have no impact in the near future, but a lot can happen in 10 or 20 years. 10-15 years ago Boise State was a crappy, garbage program.
