I missed the CFL's (or deleted them from my DVR) that covered the ACC signing a deal with the Orange Bowl, and what the CFL crew had to say about that. But what stood out to me was the CFL talking heads, in the week or two that I didn't watch, switched from talking about the "Big 4 conferences" to the "Power 5 conferences".

The Orange Bowl deal did indeed shift some thinking. It happened while I was on vacation -- sorry, I don't have the same magical powers as Chris Horne when I go on vacation -- so I wasn't able to participate in the discussion and exchange of ideas about the deal, but it really was a big deal for the ACC. Really glad to see it happen. I'm not a big fan of the Orange Bowl, but the matchups promise to be a lot better, and the holiday game date is huge. I might actually go to the game again, after missing both the Cincy and Stanford O-Bowls.
