Wasn't BC's late addition a replacement for a slot held open for ND? I thought the NC State President had some ties to ND and was reluctant to vote in BC? If true, I am not sure adding BC to the ACC was made to make the league more appealing to ND.

BC makes sense if you believe that ND is the end-game. Everyone says Pitt and SYR were added to entice ND. BC does the same thing- Provides ND with a natural rival as soon as they step into the conference, should that ever happen.
