I agree with this too. I think he wanted to get the Northeast TV market, but failed to realize that the Northeast loves professional sports more than college sports. Also, chasing small private schools is not the best recipe for expanding TV markets.

I was also really bothered by the fact that he personally appealed to the NCAA when UNC was responding to the recent inquiry. I doubt he has done that for FSU, Clemson, GT, etc and will most likely skip the Canes formal inquiry.

Bc has just been hanging there for nearly a decade. Pitt, Rutgers, or even UCONN, brought more fans and teams to the table than BC. And then there's the latest TV deal. Really? We should be no worse off than the PAC12. YES, there's no USC here, but other than that, the ACC is just as competitive. And I gotta feeling, FSU will again be hanging w/ the USCs soon. They have horrible bball interest too. And why are their tier three stuff more valuable? The ACC is actually the best conference in Olympic sports. Anyhow, we should have atleast the third best TV deal. Just look at where people live. And as far as fball goes, I think MOST of the conference is moving forward, including VT.
