The Big East is the best top-to-bottom basketball league in the nation, it's servicable as far as their non-revenue sports go, and they can remain a full independent in football, keeping all the cash they generate. Most importantly, they can qualify for the national "Football Final Four" as an independent. Why move?
I also voted for 1 but would say that it's a questionable assertion that the Big East is the best top to bottom bball conference after factoring in the loss of WVU, Syracuse and Pittsburgh. Those losses are devastating to Big East basketball.
