The place where I could see additional benefit from ND is the formation of a true ACC Network. Their name would help get it a much wider audience and I could see it happening sooner than without as well. ND would als add desirable content in the non-revenues that make up a good number (majority?) of hours on a conference network. Live football at only 3rd tier only takes up so much.
I actually would also not mind ND in non-football as long as they don't share any football revs or got any bowl bids. I wouldn't even mind the bowl bids if they could significantly improve the quality of the available ACC bowl tie ins. Our tie ins now frankly suck beyond the top two. Of course, it hasn't even been decided whether the automatic tie ins will continue past the BCS era.
VERY good point. Their tier 3 stuff would be relatively valuable.
