It is a logical thought process, but I believe the selection committee takes logic out of the selection equation and instead will use blatant favoritism. Ohio State does not need a strong SOS... they just need to win. If it comes down to it, an undefeated Ohio State who played only OOC cupcakes would unanimously be chosen over a team like Boise St, even if Boise St went undefeated and played a much more difficult OOC schedule. I think the new system gives incentives for the big name teams to play cupcakes, and the small name teams to TRY and schedule tough games... but how many big name teams will comply? I doubt very many.

I think our series with OSU has a good chance to remain intact because its been scheduled for years and a lot of people (on both sides) are looking forward to it. But moving forward, I believe favoritism towards big $$$ teams with large fan bases who travel well and draw big tv audiences will eliminate the need for them to play a strong OOC schedule.

Just my thoughts. I hope I am wrong. But I have zero faith in a selection committee...
