The B12 will eventually go back to 12 teams. IMO, not having a conference title game will eventually hurt them when the selection committee boots a #4 ranked B12 team for a 5th ranked ACC conference champ because VT or NCSU won their conference title game. I have always thought SOS and Conference Title would be used as tie breakers to decide between the #4 and #5 team. I do not think Teams ranked 1 thru 3 will have to worry about possibly being jumped, but #4 will be vulnerable.
IMO, Clemson and FSU are not the teams the B12 wants. I still look for them to grab L'ville and Cincinnati to improve basketball profile and to help WVU's travel expenses while not providing substantial obstacles for the premier members' road to the championship.
