Notre Dame could come in as a partial for a few years before joining for football in 2016 (I think that's when their current NBC contract is up, right?). So that could be a situation where it's partial with an understanding that they would be in full eventually. Would give Notre Dame a better home for their non-football sports than the BE or Big XII could offer in the interim.
seems awfully optimistic...i just don't see ND giving up their football independence any time soon.
