While watching the Olympic qualifying I had a thought for the renovation of Rector... If VT really wants to improve its facilities they should consider upgrading the outdoor Track as well. The athletic department should add facilities on the outdoor track side of rector (left if approaching from the front/football stadium side).

These facilities could the be used for indoor and outdoor meets, and combined with any sort of stands added to the current outdoor facility, would provide a nice facility for future track and field meets.

(and in the future even more stands/stadium facilities could be added, there is a lot of room around the current track)
