Only if he wants to waste money and time in a futile attempt. I'm glad the parents are trying to control the situation with their son.

What's the harm in a sincere hand written letter with a follow up call to chat with his dad?

You can't win the lottery without buying a ticket.

Well, gosh, Mr Cleaver, maybe Wally will sign out of sentimentality. Let's not pretend the #1 recruit in the nation, living in Chicago, will have any interest in playing hoops in Blacksburg. Johnson's time needs to be focused on realistic opportunities to build the team. Jiminy Cricket wishing upon a star is a waste of time right now.

Who knows- he may be an exceptional alturistic young man. Sort of Mother Teresa in Air Jordans.

Yeah, keep on fantasizing. A Chicago kid who dreams of playing in Blacksburg. Sure, think Johnson should spend a second of wasted time on him. That's a good analogy for the shape our basketball program is currently in, and why we should be concerned.

Just another example of the Playstation mentality...

We'll take the best MM+ players we can get. That's more realistic given how far down the scale we hired. Hope JJ can surprise but doesn't appear to be a miracle worker so far.

Miracle worker? Who was he supposed to sign this time of year? That's his fault?? Seems a bit early in the game for snarky comments about JJ.
