This is logical for Notre Dame given the state of the Big East and because none of the other big conferences want anything to do with Notre Dame unless they bring football along. If I was a fan of any Big 12 school not named Texas, I'd be worried that this another instance of inequitable treatment among conference members. This is a sign of the Big 12's desperation.
