Speaking of how money will be split. Listening to SiriusXM few days ago and there seems to be some sentiment that if 2 teams from same conference participate, that conference will only get 1.5 times the normal payout rather than double dipping. The other .5 would be split between the two other participating conferences. In addition there may be a rule that a minimum of 3 conferences or 2 conferences plus an independent must be in the playoff. One caller suggested that teams from the same conference must meet in the semifinal game ...so not Bama and LSU in the final.
Wonder if Irish participated as an independent, would they get a full conference share?
