"We're not seeking anything," (I'm not calling around looking for an invite, but hey, I'm not against it either.)
"We're not expecting anything." (I have no reason to think another conference is going to call me, but hey, I'm not against it either.)
"There are no converstaions going on." (My phone isn't ringing at this very moment, but hey, I'm not against it either.)
For the record, I don't think anyone is going anywhere, but until someone says "We WILL NOT leave the ACC for another conference regardless of who comes calling," then anything they say can be manipulated to mean whatever anyone wants it to mean. No school will ever make a statement like that because you always leave every door open.
All this could be fixed by an ACC team simply winning the MNC this year, so let's just do that.
