FSU has played for MNC twice after suffering a loss

If the playoff is a top 4 model, the other 4 conference winners would have an immediate adavantage over a 1 loss ACC team, records being equal. I also thik that a 2 loss sec would get in over a 1 loss ACC team in many if not most years. This is the reason we have to go to the SEC if given the opportunity. While there we could get in by going undefeated, what are the odds we do that?
Certainly ACC teams have to schedule more heavily out of conference in general, but with an ACC slate plus Florida every year, FSU's schedule is more than fine to suffer a loss and stay alive.
Let's not get crazy here. Remember Boise was 2 field goals away from playing for the national title twice!! Heavy scheduling is not the be all/end all if a national title berth is the goal. You need some balance.
