FWIW: Sounds like Montrezl blew up yesterday at U-18 tryouts in colorado

Twitter and youtube seemed to indicate that he was in the same class of players as a few burger boys. Also seemed to insinuate that he was a frontrunner to make the team. Granted some of this hype is probably due to the fact that he is now a cardinal, but ouch it stings.

Hype feeds hype. It's all circular among the close knit group of those that watch and tweet HS sports

You don't keep a problem coach out of fear of losing recruits. That's life.*

Never recall Rev saying that. I believe he wasn't that upset that we lost him simply because he didn't want to be at VT. And I tend to agree. I don't care how good you are - if you aren't 100% in, then find the nearest door.
Some people are like Slinkies - not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs

Like it or not, the reality is that Athletics is a department of the university. If you have an inability to get along with people in your department, or with members of your own staff for that matter, and especially with your boss, chances are you're going to be shown the door sooner or later. Just a fact of life.

We almost certainly lose Harrell either way.

Greenberg's firing may have been a last straw of sorts. If Greenberg were around, something else likely would have happened. He had been rethinking his signing since soon after he signed. He didn't want to be in Blacksburg.
