imo, #10 in ACC should still be ahead of a lot of other schools
Your peer group is the other ACC schools not Lafayette. You're competing with them, if it's harder to compete with your peer group and you're at a perceived disadvantage relative to your peer group, it turns out to not be a great job.
Just look at the actions of other coaches and their actions. They are not jumping at just any BCS team. They're staying at their schools happy to be there or waiting for the right opportunity.
So I don't see why #10 in ACC is ahead of a lot of other schools when coaches' actions indicate otherwise.
