There would be about 120 students using the football building. Between Club Tennis and Intermural Tennis there's probably at least 300 students using the courts. That's not including students who go out there when it's nice out just to play with some friends.

How many students use the stadium woods?

Gobbler, The University is constructing a beautiful indoor practice facility off of Massie Road on The Grounds. My old friend Tayloe made the assertion just the other day at The Men's Grill that VPI would certainly try and counter our move. I am rather surprised that VPI would need to disrupt a large stand of woods to build anything. In the past during the Hahn era, VPI would simply plow up another field to construct more buildings.

Chap, I took Buford (the grandson) up to see our indoor facility almost 35 years ago, He was impressed enough that he asked his grandfather (Buford the elder) to pony up a little more cash for the stadium named after his family. It's about time the bow ties got their master plan in gear.

I have heard through a source that the decision to save the Stadium Woods has already been made. I don't know when it will be announced but it should be soon!

Committee report with recommendations was submitted last week. Committee Chair will address BOV to answer questions next week, and a decision will come after that.

They've shared for 15-16 years, I still think Rector looks amazing for a 41 year old building.

I bet if you knew a very old heathly tree was on your future home site, you would make accomendations as well.

Theyre not healthy though, theyre completely rotted out. So much so that we need to "guess" about 120 extra years of age on some of these trees.

If an oil expert told you there was oil in your back 11 acres but that you would have to knock down some 300 year old trees, you're tellin me you would save the trees? BULL ****! Knock down the damn trees and do what we think is necessary to get our program, and the Universities source of income, to the Elite level.

Rector is not big enough for 18 varsity teams. Many of the olympic sports have to workout outdoors year round. We really need 3 facilities, but two is better than 1.

UVA's facility is for lacrosse and womens soccer.
