VDOT proposing charging EZPass holders a $1 per account per month fee

I guess the toll hikes are not enough. IF this happens i might as well get rid of the ezpass and just use cash and change.

Not a new story (April), but still stoopid IMHO. Why not add to the toll so that the ones actually requiring the service pay for it, as opposed to the ones who don't. It's just another operating expense.

Yea saw it was proposed April 18, hitting ezpass holders is stupid, the people who use change and cash and cause traffic should be the ones who get hit with the fee.

Some new roads will not have a "cash or change" option, BTW. Your only option would be to use another route.

How do they get around that "This note is legal tender for all debts public and private"? That kinda of means they have to take it somehow, at least that's what I was taught way back when.
My next car will have cup holders that can accommodate a mason jar. That is all. - Ms Schwend

Just buy it through Delaware. No fees there.
I have come here to take Deer Antler Spray and win the Superbowl, and I'm all out of Deer Antler Spray.
