Yep, a minimum of three September home games, which are ALWAYS in the full sun. Nothing like the old Ray Ban sunburn look to impress everyone at work.
I always have to laugh at Jim Weaver's eagerness to accept noon or 1:00 games in September, and Thursday night games in November. Night games in September? Forget about them. Afternoon games before 3:30 kickoff in November? Close to the same story.
Weaver has no control whatsoever over the time of televised games. The only ones he can control are the 1:30 games. And yes, like you, I wish we would do some of those early ones at night, or at least after the heat of the day. Would a 4:00 kick kill us? That's still early enough that if you're driving from the 757 (like I am), you can get home that night if you want to. But it keeps us from baking in 90 degree heat.
Make the most of every opportunity for doing good in these evil days.
