Loyola-MD winning the lacrosse national championship sadly reminded me that they are now added to the long list of schools to have won a NCAA recognized team national championship that does not include VT. See pages 2-5 in the link.
How is it possible that from 1932-2011 a school with better than average resources and size and passion has won exactly zero national men's or women's team titles? When you review the list and see the what comparable schools have historically done, it is to me some combination of bewilderment and embarrassment.
