Yep, some schools give scholies to marching band members, and apparently to student managers, etc also.

All I know is my daughter was in the MV's her Freshman thru Junior year, and was student trainer for the women's bball team her Sophomore thru Senior year.

She was hopping her sophomore and junior year, since the football season and basketball season overlapped in November, a little in October, and to a degree in December.

Those members of the MV's who are not music majors don't get anything of a monetary value like other universities do. However, any member of MV's does get a 1 hour course credit for the years they are members of the MV's.

My pocket book sure would have been happy if she had gotten some assistance for either her MV work or her student trainer work.
