Not a lot of pressure to force Notre Dame to join a conference for football.

ND wants top 4 BCS, last year Oregon won the PAC and beat Stanford, Stanford was number 4 after the conference championships and they would have gone instead of Stanford. That makes no sense and devalues the regular season game.

I can see a mix of conference champion and that you must be in the top 6 like Delaney from the B1G said this week. That solves the SEC problem because looking at last year you would have had LSU and Stanford as one game and Alabama at Oklahoma State. Or you could add a rule where if two teams from the same conference make it... they must play each other. Then you at least get a national draw on the Championship Game.

However, I think the days of cow towing to ND and giving them special consideration are almost over and I think if it is 11-1, they will finally roll over. I guess we will find out soon.
