In 2000 teams currently in the ACC were #2 Miami, #3 FSU, #6 TECH, #15 Clemson, #18 GA Tech at the end of the regular season. Maryland was even #7 in 2001. Pitt, UVa, BC, UNC, Wake, and NC State have been ranked in the top 25 during the 5 seasons, just not enough. In the words of the late Al Davis, "Just WIN Baby!"
This is the bottom line. Win, and all of a sudden you're relevant again. This, of course, also applies to our Hokies in that they must find a way to win the big games. Now saying it and doing it are two different things. But, things tend to run in cycles, and getting the mojo back is not impossible.
