Nowhere... It is just an announcement. Pre-engagement or friendship ring, if you will.
No Stadium
No Contracts
No Teams in BIGXII right now (other than Texas and OK)**
But
They do (or will) have existing bowl contract obligations
New Playoff
Cotton Bowl
Either Cotton Bowl gets bumped down, or this replaces Cotton Bowl.
**Everyone talks about how BIGXII have won, or played in so many BCS games. Guess what, that was BEFORE half of their league left. Lets see what Cotton Bowl(2) matchups look like in the next 4 years, and how much money is made (or lost) on these matchups.
If ACC teams started to WIN some OCC games (I suggest a bunch of BIGXII, and B1G games, as they are easlier to win), and some Bowl games ACC is fine.
If everyone bolts, the VT is in great shape, no matter what.
Go Hokies.

Ask Jerry Jones and Bob Bowlsby about how their contacts and/or talks are going, as this gathers syeam (it will). That's a nice pretty new stadium Jerry has down in Dallas. Show them the money? Jerry can.

So what. Just relegates Cotton Bowl to Humanitarian Bowl Status. Nothing has changed.

That depends on what ACC is doing right now. There are a lot of Bowls looking at their partnership status right now: Sugar, Fiesta, Cotton, Capital One. All of these bowls just lost some partners.
ACC needs to get with BIG10 and PAC12 to marry up #2's.

Not at all. Just means they get a lower ranked SEC and/or Big12 team. So they get a 3rd place Arkansas or Georgia or a 3rd place Oklahoma, or a 10-2 KST like last year. Big deal. The invites will go out from the bowls just under the New Bowl, and the conferences will still rake in the $$ as in the past plus the bigger amount from the New Bowl.

I guess you left Nebraska off on purpose? And Mizzou and ATM (and even Colorado at one point) have been very highly ranked over the years.

You seem to think that every Bowl is interested in a matchup of Big12 runner-ups. I highly doubt that Bowls will want a 3-4 loss WVU, OSU, K State, over a 1-2 loss Miami FSU, Clemson, VT.
Just saying. If you are smarter than me, so be it.

For some reason, I didn't think of them. But still, none of those guys have done much of anything in the past 10 years.
Mizzou has lost 47 games in 10 years, they did have one good season where they played for the Big XII championship, and lost by about 40.
aTm has lost 60 in 10 years. They've been highly ranked in the preseason a couple of times, and that's about it.
Colorado has lost 73 in 10 years. They've simply been awful.
Nebraska has lost 48. They are by far the biggest loss, but their last BCS game was in '01.
The Big XII certainly didn't want to lose any of these schools. Nebraska could have been a killer, but the rest really aren't very strong programs, by any stretch."Knowledge is good"
