Some memories are priceless, so I thought i would share a favorite from the 2008 Regional in Knoxville. Please humor me as we go back in time.....
The Hokies enter Sunday's championship game(s) from the winners bracket, Tennessee from the loser's bracket.
Just like this year, the Vols had to beat the Hokies twice, while VT only needed one win to clinch the Regional Title.
Game one was a disaster, and Angela Tincher was pulled in the second inning. The Hokies lost 7-1, setting up a winner-take-all final.
In game 2, Tennessee was leading 1-0 in the 4th with "lady mo" seemingly in thier dugout when the rains came, causing an hour plus rain delay. The skies cleared, and the teams were almost finished warming up when the wonderful sounds of "Enter Sandman" came on the PA. The Hokie fans in attendance went crazy, the Hokie team went crazy, and we were all fairly certain that this was a sign that things were about to change for the better.
Misty Hall, the first batter after the rain delay, quickly confirmed our feelings as she blasted a 2 run homer, giving the Hokies a 2-1 lead that they never relinquished. The final was Hokies 4, Vols 2 but there was never any doubt after "Sandman."

Hopefully, tomorrow there will be no need for game 2.
LET'S GO HOKIES!!!!!
