I would happily accept any of these scenarios, but don't think the Alabama, Florida and Georgia schools would care too much for the second one.

I'm talking about academics, geographic location (e.g. their cities/towns, locations to airports), etc. Even if we were in the SEC we'd be saddled most likely by Vanderbilt and Kentucky as our regional "rivals." The ACC is a MUCH better fit culturally for Virginia Tech.
