I understand you feel disappointment. I respect that. It is tough when you lose something you value highly and want very much. It stings and isnt easy to take. You obviously view Trez in that manner and I understand...

I just dont share the same feelings about his loss. He has been unhappy with his selection of Virginia Tech for months. He didnt want to be here. That word had gotten out among coaches and wasnt really a secret. It was something we were aware of. For whatever reason, Trez had a change of opinion about Virginia Tech and no longer wanted to attend the school. He wanted out, was looking for ways to get out and he found one. I hope he finds a school that he will be happy with. A situation that he can embrace and look forward to. A place that he will be genuinely excited about. That place was not Virginia Tech. And you dont want to have to beg a kid before he even comes to school here that he should come. You shouldnt want kids that do not want to be here. It will be reflected in their schoolwork, their practice habits, their daily campus life...Find kids that love Virginia Tech for the reasons most of us do. Dont beg or coerce someone to attend the school when that person clearly is unhappy and feels he made a mistake in his choice...Just wish him luck finding a more suitable school....

I didnt feel that Trez was a good fit for Virginia Tech or Virginia Tech a good fit for Trez since last Spring in all honesty, for reasons I dont want to get into here on the board...But I did make a prediction last October that I didnt feel he would ever step foot on campus as a Virginia Tech student....That has come to pass and I am very fine with that, while wishing him luck with his next choice....But I dont think he would have prospered here, especially given his unhappiness and I dont think the two parties would have been a good fit at all...

I understand others might feel differently and be disappointed...We will just have a difference of opinion on that....
