Parking question

I apologize if this is a stupid question, or if it's been asked/answered before. Anyways, if I were to purchase a parking pass for a certain lot, am I allowed to park anywhere in the lot, or am I assigned a specific parking space in that lot?

All of the lots that have reserved spots are full, so any lot you choose at this point, you can park anywhere you want within that lot.
