Yup, the second day was sooooo much smoother than the first. I still totally suck but at least I got a couple good rows before minor issues happened and then I'd start over. My navigation skills still aren't there - just can't do it right especially when I look into the sun over my shoulder.
Sounds positive, no? Well, I flipped the boat twice. Wow that river was cold and the air was only upper 50s - can't imagine doing that closer to freezing. You may inquire as to the source of my roll, apparently when I get a little panicked and tired, I lean over to look where I'm going instead of twisting about vertical axis. Me and my boat then sought the most stable position... me soaking wet and the boat upside down.
Can't wait for the next time out!
